Free admission! Space is limited, so arrive early!
Join local filmmakers from the CU Film Society and Pens to Lens in this free, hour-long screenwriting workshop where students will learn the basics of storytelling and how to turn their original stories into bonafide screenplays just in time for the 2018 Pens to Lens Student Screenwriting & Filmmaking Competition. Also, for those who haven't begun their own script, we'll help brainstorm story ideas, and even spend some time workshopping individual scripts. This workshop is geared toward K-8 students, but all students K-12 are welcome! Christmas concerts are mandatory and will be a significant part of the student's grade.
All the students will need to wear nice clothes (no jeans, t-shirts, sweatpants, or sweatshirts).
The concert includes 6K, 6C, 6th grade band, 7th/8th grade band, and 7th/8th grade choirs. The band students will need to directly report to the music room.
The 6th grade students and choir students will report to the gym.
I am looking for any parent volunteers to help warm-up the band and help them tune before the concert.

Coupon Book Fundraiser - September 22 - Wednesday, October 11
This fundraiser helps to fund field trips throughout the year. Buses cost hundreds of dollars, and PTC covers a large part of that cost. Some of these dollars go to help the Athletic Booster Club purchase uniforms and new equipment for the athletic teams. Our Holy Cross Library receives money every year from our fundraising efforts to support the Accelerated Reading Program and restock the shelves with updated and newly released books. These are just a few things that PTC covers. If you have opted not to sell coupon books, we would ask you to consider making a donation to the PTC if you are able.
The final turn-in date is Wednesday, October 11th. All money and orders should be turned in by this date.
Please turn in any unsold books! Each student was sent home with a coupon book. The unsold book needs to be returned, or $25 needs to be submitted to cover its cost.
Any out of town book orders will be placed at the conclusion of the sale and will be distributed within two weeks.
Email email@example.com with any questions. Thank you!
